Hop-Off Canine Flea Deterrent

Fleas are more than a nuisance — once your dog picks them up, they bring:

• Scratching, biting, and general restlessness
• Small dark specks in the coat (flea dirt)
• Localised irritation wherever fleas have been active
• The risk of fleas being brought inside and into the home

Hop-Off is a concentrated blend of organic essential oils in a soothing organic carrier oil, applied between the shoulder blades. It's absorbed into the bloodstream in around 20 minutes, helping to make your dog a less attractive target for fleas as a natural part of your prevention routine.

Trialled with real dogs, Hop-Off has earned genuinely excellent feedback from our early customers, with pet parents reporting noticeably fewer fleas hitching a ride especially during the warmer months.

Not to be used if your dog is:  Pregnant or Nursing,  suffers Epilepsy or Seizure History, has a Clotting/Bleeding Disorders or is on Anticoagulants,  Anti-Diabetic Medications. 

• Application: 4 drops, twice daily, applied between your dog's shoulder blades.
• Absorption: The essential oils take approximately 20 minutes to absorb into the bloodstream and begin their flea-deterrent work.

Every ingredient earns its place. Hop-Off was formulated by Pure Harmonics Pet Wellness Clinic headed up by Maria, Director of MicroMed, drawing on the principles of Veterinary Aromatic Medicine. Veterinary Aromatic Medicine was established by Dr Melissa Shelton DVM, a globally recognised holistic veterinarian and author whose decades of clinical work have shaped the safe, informed use of essential oils in animal care.

Base & Carrier Oils:

• Organic Fractionated Coconut Oil: A light, fast-absorbing carrier that helps deliver the essential oils efficiently through the skin.
• Organic Calendula Infused Oil: A traditional favourite for soothing skin that's been irritated by flea activity.

Essential Oils:

• Helichrysum: Prized for its skin-soothing, calming properties, helpful where bites have left the skin sensitive.
• Lemongrass: A natural insect-deterrent oil, well regarded for keeping fleas and other biting insects at bay.
• Lavender: Gentle and calming, with mild insect-deterrent properties and a soothing effect on the skin.
• Rosemary: Supports skin health and is traditionally used as a natural insect deterrent.
• Chamomile: Calming and anti-inflammatory, helpful for soothing any irritation from bites.
• Cedarwood: One of the best-known natural insect-repelling oils, valued for helping to deter fleas and ticks.
• Rose Geranium (Non-Organic): A popular natural deterrent against fleas and ticks; chosen for its effectiveness.

Precautions & Contraindicated Essential Oils

Those found in HOP-OFF are listed in Red. Please do not use HOP-OFF if any of the following apply to your dog:

Pregnant or Nursing Pets
Avoid: Arborvitae, Basil, Birch, Cassia, Cinnamon, Rosemary, Thyme, Wintergreen.

Epilepsy or Seizure History
Avoid: Basil, Camphor, Eucalyptus, Fennel, Rosemary, Sage, Wintergreen (including any blends containing these oils).

Clotting/Bleeding Disorders or Anticoagulants
Avoid: Birch, Blue Tansy, Cassia, Cinnamon, Clove, Fennel, Marjoram, Oregano, Patchouli, Thyme, Wintergreen.

Anti-Diabetic Medications
Avoid (without careful blood glucose monitoring): Cassia, Cinnamon, Dill, Fennel, Lemongrass, Marjoram, Melissa, Myrrh, Oregano.

Photosensitizing Oils (Topical UV Exposure)
Warning: May cause skin burning in light- or pink-skinned animals if applied topically within 24 hours of UV exposure.
Avoid: Bergamot, Cumin, Grapefruit, Kumquat, Lemon, Lime, Orange, Tangerine.
